SVG to PNG Converter

SVG is perfect for the web — infinitely scalable, tiny file size. But the moment you need that logo in a PowerPoint, a Word doc, a video thumbnail, or any app that doesn't speak vector, you need a PNG.

Our free SVG to PNG converter rasterizes your vector file at high resolution (up to 2048 px on the longest side) right in your browser. Nothing is uploaded — your artwork stays on your device from start to finish.

100% in-browser. This converter runs entirely on your device — your files are never uploaded to any server. Faster, and completely private.

Keep the SVG as your master file — it's the "source code" of the graphic. Export PNGs whenever the destination demands pixels.

Tips for crisp results

Preparing SVGs for clean rasterization

Most "wrong-looking" conversions trace back to the SVG file, not the converter. For pixel-perfect results:

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the PNG be high resolution?

Yes — the SVG is rendered at up to 2048 pixels on its longest side, which is sharp for screens, documents, and social media. Vector scales infinitely, so the output is always crisp at the chosen size.

Does the PNG keep transparency?

Yes. Transparent areas of the SVG remain transparent in the PNG — ideal for logos overlaid on photos or colored backgrounds.

Why does my SVG look wrong after conversion?

Almost always because the SVG references external files (images, fonts, stylesheets). Browsers block these during rasterization for security. Embed everything into a single self-contained SVG and try again.

Is my artwork uploaded anywhere?

No. Rasterization happens entirely in your browser via the canvas API. Your design files never leave your device.

Can I choose the output size?

The converter automatically renders at high resolution based on the SVG's aspect ratio. For most uses (web, office, social), the default output is more than sufficient.

SVG or PNG — which should I keep as my master file?

Always keep the SVG. It's smaller, infinitely scalable, and editable. Generate PNGs from it whenever you need them — that's exactly what this tool is for.

Why is my converted PNG blurry?

Three usual suspects: (1) the SVG was rendered at a small size — ours renders up to 2048 px, which is sharp for most uses; (2) the source SVG itself contained a low-res embedded raster image; (3) text wasn't outlined and a substitute font rendered poorly. Fix the source and reconvert.

Can I convert SVG to JPG instead?

Technically yes with other tools, but it's rarely wise: JPG's compression artifacts ruin the crisp edges that make vector art attractive, and transparency is lost. PNG is the correct raster partner for SVG.

What's the best PNG size for a website logo?

For crisp display on retina screens, export at 2× the displayed size — e.g., if your header shows the logo at 200 px wide, a 400 px PNG looks sharp everywhere. Our converter renders up to 2048 px on the longest side, so you can always downscale to exactly what you need.

Can I convert an SVG from a URL instead of uploading?

Not directly in this tool — paste the SVG code into a .svg file first (any text editor works), then upload it. Direct URL fetching is blocked by browsers for security reasons, which is also why everything here runs locally.
